Fortunately, our beloved state boasts its fair share of bakeries, nestled on farms, that make some of the most delicious and freshest homemade pies in Missouri.

A family-owned and run orchard and bakery, Gardener's has been headed by the Gradinariu family since 2013. In fact, the farm has been a dream come true for the family that immigrated to the U.S. from Romania in 1990.
Unlike the orchard, however, the bakery didn't make its debut until 2016. And, the bakery resulted from the difficulty of finding homemade bread in stores. Eventually, the bakery evolved to make and sell fresh pies, donuts, danishes, and other goodies.
Of course, if you love pie, you'll find some of the best — apple, peach, and pumpkin, for example — at the bakery that also sells freshly-pressed apple cider.
Who can resist homemade cinnamon rolls? Stock up on a slew of other goodies, too — from apple turnovers and pecan pie to strawberry rhubarb pie and cherry pie.
Reserve a spot on one of the 45-minute farm tours, too, that costs $5 per person. The tour will give you a glimpse of life on the farm and will include a hay ride.
Stock up on fresh pies and other goodies at Gardener's Orchard and Bakery, open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
