Spring has sprung in Western New York, and we’re hoping these April showers will lead to some lovely May flowers! Of course, we love the Buffalo Cherry Blossom Festival that takes place on the first weekend of May, but it’s certainly not the only celebration of beautiful blooms that you’ll find in our area – in fact, the second and third weekends in May will bring an equally epic floral event that’s totally worth the hour-long drive to get there. Check it out:
The Rochester Lilac Festival will take over the always lovely Highland Park - and the sights and smells will sweep you off your feet.
The Lilac Festival is the largest of its kind in North America and will take place over the course of 10 days. Nearly half a million people from all over the state travel to Rochester to see the beautiful blooms during this free festival - and you’ll definitely want to be among them.
The Rochester Lilac Festival is family-friendly and welcomes all ages. You’ll have plenty of time to explore the 150-acre park as it turned into a lilac-filled wonderland that’s perfect for a spring stroll.
