Chaney's Dairy Farm Hosts Outdoor Movies That Are Insanely Fun

When the weather is nice, it’s best to enjoy it outside and there are many ways to do so in Kentucky. Even as the sun goes down, you can still enjoy a beautiful evening by heading to an outdoor movie. While a classic drive-in movie is a nostalgic destination, there’s a farm in Kentucky that offers a truly unique experience. Chaney’s Dairy Barn in Bowling Green is known for its ice cream, but it’s also an outdoor movie theater that’s insanely fun.

Chaney's Dairy Barn is a large farm destination in Bowling Green that offers a wide variety of family fun. A couple of years ago, it started to offer outdoor movies with its own theater set-up and guests have been huge fans ever since.

Chaney's is first and foremost a dairy farm, and you can take a self-guided tour or sign up for a scheduled visit. You'll get to see the array of cows that call the farm home, as well as one of the only robotic milking systems in the state.

When most people think of Chaney's Dairy Barn, they think of ice cream. The farm offers dozens of flavors, made fresh and changing seasonally, and there's nothing better than a big ice cream cone on the farm on a hot day.

Chaney's also offers a restaurant that serves up incredible food. It's all made-to-order, and you'll be surprised at how tasty the meals are. The menu includes everything from chicken fingers to salads, entrees, and more.

There is plenty to do on the farm no matter when you visit, but Chaney's Ice Cream & Moovie Nights are insanely fun. Bring a chair and a blanket, stretch out under the stars, and watch a family-friendly flick on the big screen, which is placed on the side of the red barn.

The first movie night takes place on May 24th, 2019, and there will be many others throughout the summer. The event begins at 5 p.m., the movie starts at dusk, and it is free to visit and watch. While you're waiting, the kids can play on the farm-themed playground and even take a free hayride from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Outside food and drinks are not allowed at the movie events, but with so many tasty meals and treats offered, you won’t mind one bit. Chaney's has plenty of options for dinner, snacks, and, of course, dessert.
