Perfectly sweet and fun to eat, strawberries are one of the many delicious crops grown in Louisiana. Strawberry season typically runs from March through May, so gas up the car and head over to this amazing strawberry farm where you can pick your own berries to take home and turn into delicious jams, jellies, pies, or just an accent to your favorite fruity cocktail – although they are sweet-as-can-be as a snack on their own!
Located in the tiny village of Albany, Mrs. Heather’s Pumpkin & Strawberry Patch is a fun-filled family attraction that’s worth a trip from any corner of the state.
Pick them right off the vine and bring them home to make a delicious strawberry pie or homemade jam to enjoy… but we think you’ll find it hard to resist just snacking on them on the trip back home!
Mrs. Heather’s also has several activities that the kids will love. After you’ve picked your berries, kids can enjoy the zip line, jumping pillow, bouncing racehorses, and much more.
Mrs. Heather’s Pumpkin & Strawberry Patch is located at 31458 Hwy. 43, Albany, LA 70711. They’re open on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Mother’s Day. For more information, visit Mrs. Heather’s website here and follow along on Facebook here.
