Granted, we always recommend doing this with a designated driver, but the experience is one that is truly Tennessean. From the banks of the Mississippi to the hills and hollers of the Smokies, this Tennessee Whiskey Trail is a great way to spend your weekend.

Ole Smoky, located in Gatlinburg, is known for their many varieties of flavored moonshine that you'll want to be sure to try.

Chattanooga Whiskey is unique in that it calls itself an Experimental Distillery. Located in the heart of downtown Chattanooga, the distillery's focus on development of whiskey-making techniques shines through their tours which allow for lots of hands-on learning about the whiskey-making process.

Of course, the trail's most famous stop is the Jack Daniel's Distillery in Lynchburg. While you're there, be sure to head in to the historic town square for a great meal at
