Looking for beautiful outdoor attractions to enjoy the spring weather? If so, I found the perfect one – The Tulsa Botanic Garden – a 170-acre botanical garden northwest of downtown Tulsa. It’s a sight to be seen, filled with gorgeous greenery, exotic plants, flowers, and water features that are beyond stunning.
Tulsa Botanic Garden is located at 3900 Tulsa Botanic Drive, just west of downtown Tulsa. It's a developing 170-acre botanical garden featuring thousands of plants and flowers.
It's a beautiful spot in northeastern Oklahoma to enjoy an afternoon stroll and meander along the pathways as you enjoy the heavenly gardens that are in full bloom.
In a few weeks, thousands of tulips will be in full bloom and it will be a sight to see. Make sure to bring your camera along because you'll want to capture the array of colors.
The focal point of the garden is the A.R. and Marylouise Tandy Floral Terraces that features the Garden Cascade - a six-foot wide water runnel that flows down from the top of the hillside into the lake.
The Children's Discovery Garden is a favorite spot of young guests. The Spring Giant is a 15 ft. stone face that is the focal point of this experience-based learning garden. This wonderland garden covers 2-acres and includes a Sensory Walk, Art Wall, Tree Fort, and lots of hands-on activities.
Visitors can explore the four levels located in the terraces and enjoy the trees, shrubs, ornamental grasses, roses and perennials, while taking in the views of downtown Tulsa.
Tulsa Botanic Gardens is open six days a week year-round,
Tuesday–Sunday from 10am to 5pm with
extended hours on Thursdays during Daylight Saving Time.
