Food always tastes better when it was grown locally. John’s Amish Country offers organic, pesticide free produce along with fresh eggs, raw honey, and plenty of other wholesome goodies. See for yourself:
John's Amish Country is located at 1130 N 186th Dr., Goodyear, AZ 85338.
While the farm itself is only open on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., you can find the owner at Uptown Farmers Market every Saturday. It reopens for spring on March 30.
All of John's produce is grown with Amish values in mind, meaning no pesticides or GMO feed. Everything is also organic, and you can absolutely taste the difference.
Fruits, vegetables, jams, fresh eggs, and many more homemade goods are offered at unbeatable prices. You'll even find natural skincare products such as lotion and lip balm.
Most people have no clue how diverse tomatoes can be until visiting a local farm. These beautiful heirlooms are not only the definition of "eat the rainbow," but are also plumper and juicier than their dull, chemical-laden counterparts.
John's partners with McClendon's Select, another area farm that places the same amount of importance on health and food quality. Some of their products, like pure maple syrup and nuts, will also be available at the farmers market booth.
