There’s nothing like the magic of witnessing a sky filled with the glow of lanterns. There’s an event coming soon to Utah, and you won’t want to miss it! Check out Night Lights:
On May 18, 2019, the skies above Utah will fill with the beautiful glow of lanterns.
You can customize your lantern however you'd like. Write down a wish, the name of a loved one who's passed away, or something that's been weighing on you that you'd like to set free.
At the designated time, everyone will release their lanterns into the night sky. The feeling of community is incredible to experience, and the beauty in the skies is surreal.
Launch time is 9:45 p.m., and the event is appropriate for participants of all ages. Make sure to bring a light jacket or sweater because the temperature can get chilly out there after the sun goes down.
As soon as the lanterns are released, a special team of lantern chasers sets off to intercept them as they touch back down on the ground. The team makes three separate trips over 48 hours to ensure that no lanterns are left behind.
The event's website states that it's in Salt Lake City, but it's actually in Erda at the Utah Motorsports Complex, which is about 35 minutes west of downtown SLC.
The address of the venue is 512 Sheep Ln., Erda, UT 84074.
Get your tickets on the Night Lights website. From now through March 17th, there’s a 38% discount code right on the website. Have you attended an event like this before? Tag the friends you want to bring with you.
