Spending an evening strolling through an art gallery isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but not all galleries are created equally. There’s a playful, creative, immersive art experience coming to Utah soon that’s unlike anything you’ve ever seen. If you’re looking for something to do that’s fun for the whole family, you’ll want to check out Dreamscapes:
Dreamscapes is a temporary art installation coming soon to Salt Lake City. It's set up at The Gateway in the space that was previously occupied by The Gap.
Dreamscapes will be set up at The Gateway: 110 S. Rio Grande St., Salt Lake City, UT 84101.
This pop up consists of a 14,000-square-foot labyrinth that includes different interactive art installations from 50 Utah artists. Step inside a magical world that's guaranteed to stoke your creativity and imagination.
Allow about an hour to walk through and explore different works of art. This isn't the kind of gallery where you stand and gaze at a painting - it's much more fun and interactive!
As you make your way through the labyrinth, you'll see all kinds of awe-inspiriting digital displays. Everything here was created using repurposed materials donated by local businesses.
Bring your camera to capture the surreal, magical art. This gallery is designed for fun and laughter - you won't find any stuffy art critics shushing you inside Dreamscapes.
Dreamscapes runs from March 15th through April 15th. Purchase tickets for a specific time slot on the day you want to attend. It's open Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m..
The project is sponsored by the Utah Arts Alliance, which is a nonprofit dedicated to helping Utahns become connected to their communities through different art forms.
