Whether you’re looking for an indoor activity on a chilly day or a way to beat the heat on a sunny one, we’ve found an awesome spot that everyone will love, no matter your age! Located less than an hour away from Buffalo, all it takes is a scenic car ride through Western New York to make your way to one of the country’s most charming attractions.
Head over to the small town of Medina to check out the wonderful Medina Railroad Museum.
Within the 200-foot-long and 14-foot-wide display, you'll see a seemingly endless amount of model trains, many of which actively moving along the tracks.
The museum has been growing in size since the display was first built in 18 years ago, and you'll feel just like a kid again as you surround yourself with all of these trains.
…to toy trains and other memorabilia that may even resemble some of the things you have stashed away in your attic, it's always a good time to stop and look at everything under the roof of this museum.
Something else that might also make your head turn? The gigantic pickle hanging on the wall, reminding us all that the Heinz Pickle Factory once operated in this area of New York.
The Medina Railroad Museum is located at 530 West Ave., Medina, NY 14103 and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and. To find out more about the museum, train rides, and events, visit its website here.
