Over the last few decades, Iowa’s county conservation boards have worked tirelessly to preserve prairie, river, forest, and marshland for Iowans to enjoy and experience. One successful project that’s used and loved by Iowans from all over is the Chichaqua Bottoms Greenbelt. Originally acquired to preserve the Skunk River Oxbows and land, the park now offers an experience with native and restored prairie, wildlife, and a bridge that’s over one hundred years old.
