When it comes to restaurants, their atmosphere is just as important as their food. Fortunately, Alabama is home to several restaurants that not only offer a menu filled with incredible food, but also the perfect atmosphere to enjoy it in. One restaurant in particular that offers these two things is the Tally-Ho. For information about this restaurant, take a look below.
The Tally-Ho is a rustic restaurant that's surrounded by a small grove of trees in Selma, Alabama. It takes dining to a whole new level.
The main building that currently houses the Tally-Ho was originally used as a summer cabin, a tea room, a private dinner club, a hangout for Craig Air Force Base officers, and more. New wings were eventually added. There's so much history surrounding this incredible restaurant.
Since opening in 1942, this rustic restaurant has offered its customers a variety of dishes in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
One of Tally-Ho's most popular dishes is its French Onion Soup - a customer favorite. This delicious soup is the perfect start to any meal.
Many people visit Tally-Ho to try its famous New York Strip, which was included on the Alabama Tourism Department's list of "100 Dishes to Eat in Alabama Before You Die." This mouthwatering cut of beef is worth every single bite!
In addition to steak, the Tally-Ho's menu also includes a variety of seafood and...
...chicken dishes. Keep in mind, many of the dishes offered at the Tally-Ho aren't regular menu items. Instead, they're weekly features.
Before leaving, you'll most certainly want to try one of the restaurant's amazing desserts. If you're short on time, no worries! You can always order your dessert to go.
