A relatively new coffee shop in central Idaho has already proven itself as a beloved local gem. That’s because this is far from your ordinary coffee shop. Maude's Coffee And Clothes opened recently, back in 2017, but it's already made a name for itself in the delightful mountain town of Ketchum.
You could easily lose yourself for hours on end inside of this unassuming cafe. That's because it's not just a coffee shop. It's also a sort of quasi-thrift store which boasts a charming and vast selection of vintage goods.
Maude's is truly a treasure trove of vintage gems. Here you'll find an abundance of artisan jewlery, unique t-shirts, hand-knit sweaters, pearl-snap flannel shirts, and so much more. There's a little bit of everything, and the best part is that everything's truly one-of-a-kind.
The couple who owns the shop, Jacob and Tara Frehling, work hard to make sure Maude's selection stands out from the rest of the town's small boutiques and clothing stores. The type of clothing you'll find here is something that definitely appeals to the outdoorsy folk who reside in town, but is not easily found at other shops.
The coffee shop portion of the store doesn't fail to impress, either. Although the vintage clothes are certainly the highlight of a visit to Maude's, the coffee is bound to blow you away as well. Here you'll find that they use local milk, local honey, and local coffee beans.
Be sure to pick up a snack from another local gem—Raspberry's—who also sources all of their ingredients from the Ketchum and the immediate region surrounding it.
