The luxury of going to shop for goods at our local farmers market is often something New Yorkers only get to experience during our state’s warmer months, but thankfully there are quite a few of these markets that continue to welcome visitors all throughout the year. Bringing a variety of local vendors under one roof, all it takes is one visit to this Central New York farmers market and you’ll be hooked! Also, no need to worry about bundling up too much, this market is indoors and will get you out of the winter weather.
Hidden away in Pioneer Alley off of Main Street in town, the Cooperstown Farmers' Market is open every Saturday between January and April.
One of our favorite parts about this market is that you can always count on coming across lots of free samples. Who doesn't love to bite into what they're buying first?
You might be quick to picture farmers markets full of fruits and veggies, but aside from that, you can also find plenty of things that your sweet tooth will love here.
Doughnuts, bread, cookies, and all sorts of baked goods are gathered here under the roof of the Cooperstown Farmers' Market.
If your hunger continues to grow as your shopping around this delicious market, you can always opt for more savory locally-made goods that are ready to be devoured on-site.
To make this shopping experience even more magical, you can also expect to find Mappy Oakley's booth where things like hand-crafted fairy homes and puppets are for sale.
