Hidden gems can be found all over Mississippi, even in some of the state’s most visited cities. And that’s exactly the case with Old South Winery in Natchez. It’s located just a short distance from the historic mansions the city is known for; however, most people don’t know it exists. But with free tours and tastings, it’s one hidden gem that’s worth seeking out. Take a look:
To reach Old South Winery in Natchez, you’ll have to travel a bit off the beaten path (otherwise known as Concord Avenue).
The winery specializes in muscadine wines, which are all made using only the finest and freshest muscadines from Mississippi growers. In fact, Old South Winery has the "largest selection of muscadine wines anywhere."
But wine isn’t the only thing you’ll be able to try while at the winery. The tasting room is stocked with other muscadine products, like jelly, hot sauce, and pepper jelly.
Old South Winery is located at 65 South Concord Ave., Natchez MS 39120. For more information, call (601) 445-9924. You can also visit the winery’s website or Facebook page.
