There’s a unique dining spot where the whole family can get on board. Kids and adults alike will love the energy and the meal at this railroad-themed restaurant in Vermont. Chug and choo your way to a full belly on the great libations and food at Casey’s Caboose.
Located in Killington, Casey's Caboose is the perfect spot to finish up an active day on the mountain. This eatery was named after Jonathan Luther "John" "Casey" Jones, the railroad engineer who died on April 30, 1900, while saving passengers on his train that had crashed.
The warm wood interior of the dining area immediately makes you feel relaxed and ready for a good hot meal. Take a look around the restaurant to discover railroad memorabilia of all sorts.
The most coveted seating area is inside the caboose. This tiny space holds a handful of tables on two levels.
The menu is full of delicious fare, all made from scratch right in the kitchen. Start off with a craft beer, cider or glass of wine. Or you can check out Casey's Caboose Gin Kitchen for a drink mixed to perfection.
Enjoy fresh seafood, amazing steaks, and a variety of specially made mac and cheese dishes. There is a super kids menu too, so you can bring the whole family to this train inspired eatery.
Many locals favor the juicy burgers with a gourmet flair. The Casey's Mountain Lobster Burger (pictured below) is a surf and turf you'll adore. You also find a vegan burger and the tasty Every Day's Thanksgiving Burger.
Smaller appetites might enjoy the Tex-Mex Chili, lobster roll, or a freshly-made salad. No matter what you choose, you might want to leave room for dessert.

Casey's Caboose opens daily in the winter at 3 p.m. During the summertime, the restaurant opens at 4 p.m. Friday - Tuesday. Come dine at this train-inspired eastery where everyone feels like a kid.
