Move over, DC! Pennsylvania’s back on top, just like it should be. That’s right. The title of the World’s Largest Wawa has once again been returned to Pennsylvania, with the Wawa on 6th and Chestnut Streets in Philadelphia snagging the honor on December 14, 2018. Take a peek.
Philadelphians – and Eastern Pennsylvanians, in general – were none too happy when Wawa opened its largest store in the world in Washington DC in 2017. DC’s Wawa spans 9,200 square feet.
Pfft…that’s nothing compared to the brand new Wawa in Center City, Philadelphia, which boasts a spectacular 11,500 square feet of Wawa goodness – from its famous hoagies to a fully stocked bakery.
But, that’s just the beginning. The flagship Wawa offers a plethora of spectacular amenities, including free Wifi, digital screens, and couches and tables for relaxing, eating, and enjoying the views of the historic neighborhood.
Wawa even created a special drink just for the occasion. The Liberty Latte, a combination of hot latte and hot chocolate, with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and red, white and blue sprinkles on top, will be available for a limited time.
Of course, the newest Wawa also features everything we’ve all come to know and love – hoagies, salads, bakery items like donuts, and plenty of choices when it comes to beverages.
