Despite the cold winters, it’s not so hard to live in New Hampshire. We’ve got some great food, tons of outdoor adventures to have and lots of places to explore New England life. But, before you pack up and move to the Granite State, there are some things that you’ll want to make sure you remember about life here. If not, you’ll risk making us totally cringe!
New Hampshire isn't Boston (thank goodness!) and our accent isn't anything like those found in Southie.
We love if you're renting them from us, but when you buy them and make it hard for us to visit it makes us sad.

A moose in the road might be one of the scariest things to see if you're driving in New Hampshire. Don't get out of the car, don't try to get close enough for a photo. Just proceed with caution and try not to get run over.

This is New Hampshire and things aren't always warm. But, we can always tell if you're from out of state if you're bundled up at the first sign of frost.

We get it - they're great! But if one more person refers to us as "quaint" we're going to get a complex. New Hampshire has a lot more to it than the notion of small white churches and Main Streets. Although, given this photo we might not be doing a great job of proving that.
Or, more specifically, be driving a car with mass plates. It can be just plain hard to share the road with folks from this southern state. If you MUST enter New Hampshire with your Mass plate, we recommend you say you're from the western part of the state. We just might give you a pass.
Sure, it's just 13 miles compared to a state like Maine who has 3,478 miles of coast. But, we love it and have tons of pride. And it makes it easy to decide where to sun our buns in the summertime!
We know it's the state motto and that comes with lots of pride. But, don't take it literally. Buckle up, don't text and drive, be reasonable and remember that this phrase came from a specific battle and doesn't mean that we're all living our best lives doing whatever we want.
