Here in Idaho, we believe there are some things we do better than others. That’s just a fact. Whether it’s knowing how to pitch a tent under a minute or how to gut a fish, these things just seem to be born in us. We like being the best at the things that we do, and we plan on keeping it that way. Here are 10 things that Idahoans do better than everyone else. How many hit home with you?
Idahoans are the type of people that will easily pull themselves up by the bootstraps and get things done. Our hardworking attitude makes us great hunters, fishers, and overall providers for ourselves and our families. It's just how we are!
We consider ourselves pretty lucky to be surrounded by so much beauty, and there's no way we take it for granted. Whether we're gazing at the magnificent Shoshone Falls or we're simply enjoying the sunset from our backyard, Idaho's natural beauty never fails to humble us.

What's the purpose of living in such a beautiful state if you don't go out and see it every once in awhile? Idahoans are natural adventurers. We love to camp, hike, snowshoe, you name it. A good day for us is a day spent outside.

It's hard to go anywhere in our state (in the southern region at least) without seeing that specific shade of blue and orange. On sweatshirts. On hats. On bumper stickers. On flags. There's no escaping the pride that Idahoans have for Boise State. Well, the football program at least.
Agriculture is kind of a big deal here in Idaho. Potatoes, barley, peas, trout, beets, onions, dairy, and much more account for our state's multi-million dollar agricultural sector. The next time anybody gives you flack for living in "The Potato State", you can gently remind them that the country would be a lot hungrier without us.

Seeing those little purple berries out of the corner of our eye must be something that every Idahoan is born with. In fact, we might just be a little too good at it.
You really never know what the weather is going to be like in Idaho until you're in it. And even then, it's known to change within minutes. Snow in June? It's happened. Sixty-degree days in winter? That's happened, too. Good thing we're so good at adapting!
According to statistics from the FBI, Idaho's crime rate is the lowest in the West. With a serious crime rate that is 21.3% less than the national average, we sleep pretty well at night knowing we live in a safe community.

If you move to Idaho from a big city, chances are the first thing you'll notice about our state is how clean it is. The streets are immaculate, people actually throw their trash in the containers, and we take keeping our community clean seriously. That's just how we do things around here.
Okay, so some of our secrets have been divulged to the world and people are moving to our state at a faster rate than ever. However, Idaho is still one of the country's best kept secrets. It only takes one person exclaiming "Iowa? I've got a cousin who lives there!" to remind you.
