This Christmas, Mr. Grinch has decided to leave his secluded perch high above Whoville and pay Texas a visit. He’ll be hiding out in the Old Anderson County Jail in Palestine, offering visitors an exclusive look into what all encompasses stealing an entire holiday. Will his heart be two sizes too small or bursting at the seams? You’ll just have to find out.
Built in 1931, this foreboding building served as the Anderson County jail for over 50 years.
Today, it's where everyone's favorite holiday grouch holes up during Christmastime. These doors are normally sealed tight, but Mr. Grinch is opening his abode to curious souls all season long.
Several Whoville citizens guard the jail lobby, where you'll be promptly booked and placed in a holding cell.
From naughty to nice in an instant, the Grinch has more generosity than he knows what to do with. Looks like a few lucky visitors better prepare to be spoiled with Christmas magic!
Click here to purchase tickets. You'll find the jail at 704 Avenue A, Palestine, TX 75801.

Also in Palestine is the famous Polar Express train ride. Head there afterwards and make it a full day of Christmas magic!
