Every year, the Alaska Railroad continues their cherished holiday tradition of the Alaska Railroad Holiday Train. These special train rides are a wonderful way for everyone to enjoy the spirit of the holidays. Aboard the Christmas Train there are activities and fun all day from a coloring contest, holiday carolers, a magician, door prizes and there’s even a visit from Santa Claus. You’ll have an amazing time on the Christmas Train this holiday season.

Saturdays, December 1, 8 & 15, 2018
Morning Train: 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Afternoon Train: 3:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
A ride on the Alaska Railroad in the wintertime is simply magical any time of year, but especially at the holidays. Zoom through the beautiful winter wonderland, cozy and warm on the train.
The train cars are decorated for the holidays both inside and out with lights and cheerful holiday decor. You'll have an amazing time at this holiday adventure.
Elves will make sure you are comfortable and set up for the journey. Families love this holiday tradition and children and youth of any age will have fun on the Christmas Train.
Santa will make a visit and make his way through the cars, greeting everyone and getting the specifics on their Christmas wishes.
This holiday train has everything, including a full-size Christmas tree! Activities happen throughout the day including coloring, caroling and a magician.
