It’s Christmas Eve and I completely forgot to write my letter to Santa! Oops! Fortunately, Santa doesn’t leave until tonight, so bear with me while I compose my list.
Dear Santa,
Thank you for another fabulous year in the Centennial State. There is truly no better place to be than here! I hope I’m not too late in sending this wish list, but here are 14 things I would love for you to bring to Colorado this Christmas:
1. A decent year for the Rockies
It's been a rough couple of years for our beloved Colorado Rockies... Can we please catch a break (or a ball) and win a game or two this season?!
2. Superbowl win
Holy cow, this has been a crazy year for the Broncos! Between the wins, numerous player injuries, and that incredibly painful loss to the Raiders, we could really use a (BIG) win... like the Superbowl.
3. In-N-Out Burger
How has this not happened yet?
4. More local breweries...
...because 200-some just isn't enough!
5. ...Beau Jo's...
Colorado style pizza trumps ALL.
6. ...and Trader Joe's locations.
I shouldn't have to drive into Denver to get my Cookie Butter and Three Buck Chuck fix!
7. A law against cats
They're always so grumpy and scary...
8. Fewer transplants
Look... If you move to Colorado, that's fine... but if you move to Colorado and complain about how it isn't like California or Texas and try to change it, GET OUT!
9. Mandatory shoveling...
Oh wait... this already is required by most cities and towns! Do it!!
10. ...and green chili at every restaurant.
Is that too much to ask?
11. A Light Rail system that expands from Fort Collins all the way down to Trinidad.
12. Google Fiber
It's soooooooo much faster and cheaper than everything else!
13. Year-round skiing
Let's make it happen, Santa!
14. Finally, I wish for a White Christmas.
...but not like that crazy blizzard we were gifted last year.
I don’t think I’m asking for too much, Santa… so if you can make it happen, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
