Behind This Unassuming Nashville Storefront, You'll Find The Best Tacos In The World
Sometimes finding a good taco in Tennessee is just a little harder than we think it should be. Sure, Tennessee is tucked away from any sort of Tex-Mex inspiration found on the border, but that doesn’t mean our capital city should be left without a meaty bite into Mexican cuisine. Mas Tacos started as a food truck a handful of years ago and has blossomed into one of the most incredible local eateries around. Why? Well, we’re so glad you asked.

Mas Tacos may have started as a food truck, but this local eatery shot to stardom quickly after the introduction of its $3 tacos. With specials that range anywhere from chorizo to cactus to tamales, this unassuming place is bound to please even the pickiest palate.

The shop is tiny and quirky, filled with an array of furniture and Mexican-inspired decor. The friendly, taco-slingin' folks behind the counter and the fantastic mariachi music piped through the small space gives you an experience not often found this side of the border.

Mas Tacos recently expanded into their own bar area, and you can enjoy your favorite cocktails or an array of horchata-infused concoctions at the front counter.

If you're looking for recommendations, it may be a bit hard to find just one. The fried avocado taco is always fun when it's offered as a special, but we can't get over the juicy pulled pork that you can indulge in on the daily.

Tamales are also offered as a special, and we'd highly, HIGHLY recommend that tortilla soup. It's a spicy, salty dive into deliciousness, and the $5 price isn't too bad, either.

All the fare at this East Nashville destination is touted as "super authentic Mexican street fare," and we couldn't agree more.
