Marikka's Is A Fun-Filled Kentucky Restaurant With Its Own Indoor Sand Volleyball Court

Dining out never has to be a boring experience in Kentucky, as our state has countless restaurants that offer both great food and exciting atmospheres. If you enjoy your meal with a big dose of unique fun, then you’ve got to check out Marikka’s in Lexington. This German restaurant recently reopened with a new concept that includes a large dining and hangout space, outdoor patios and surprisingly, both indoor and outdoor sand volleyball courts. It’s not often you find German food alongside sand volleyball, but this fun-filled restaurant in Kentucky definitely makes it work.

Marikka's is a German restaurant in Lexington that recently reinvented itself as a large and unique dining destination in our state. Many loved the former, much smaller, location, but there's plenty to enjoy at the newer version as well.

The interior of the restaurant and bar is very large and open and feels like a combination of a warehouse and bier garten. There are pool tables and other games, plenty of tables, and space to meet up with friends.

This concept has seemed to be a good one for Lexington, especially on game days. Marikka's can get crowded at times, which is something to keep in mind, but it's always a fun atmosphere.

The German food served up here includes all the classics. They also have a very large beer selection and enough food and drink options to please everyone.

All of those features you may expect to find in a German restaurant, but the addition of the sand volleyball courts really makes it unique. You can have a blast all year long with open play time, or choose to join a league or play in a competition.

All of the policies of the courts are laid out here, and everyone can have a chance at the indoor summertime fun. You can also reserve the courts outside of league play time by calling the restaurant.

When the weather is nice, there's also an outdoor sand volleyball area that's just as fun. Sipping on a German beer, enjoying a pretzel, and hanging out with friends at the volleyball courts is an experience you can only have at Marikka's.

This German restaurant is definitely a one-of-a-kind concept and one that makes dining here filled with fun. With the various activities, exciting atmosphere, and delicious food, you'll have a blast at this dining destination in the heart of Kentucky.
