Tucked away in the mountains of southern Oklahoma is a little cabin that’s full of imagination. It’s part museum, part toy store, and part bookshop. It’s one of the cutest little places to visit. There’s always something to do in this small town adventure shop and you’ll want to visit as soon as you see it below.
Discovery Outpost is located at 208 East Lake Drive in Medicine Park. It's a one-of-a-kind bookstore, toy store, and museum all wrapped up in one and housed in a little cabin built in the early 1900s.
It's said that an Adventurer named "The Professor" once lived in this historic cabin and would have his colleagues over that included biologists, paleontologists, astronomers, and geologists. It's now open to the public and is filled with all sorts of imaginative toys.
Science gadgets and unique toys can also be found here. Plus, special events are planned every week including tea parties, slimy science experiments, and more.
The Professor's Courtyard was just added and is quickly becoming a favorite spot in town. It's a place to gather around a cozy fire after dark with friends and relax outdoors.
