For a truly exciting Halloween experience, there's a creepy hike you can take in Lake County that just might spook you silly. Whether or not you like a good scare, this fun-filled family event taking place in Riverwoods will be one you never forget.
The hikes take place October 19-20, 2018 at Ryerson Woods Forest Preserve, and they depart every half an hour beginning at 6 p.m. with the last group departing at 8 p.m. In total, the journey lasts about an hour and half and covers less than two miles.
Participants will be led by a glowing trail through the woods. Along the way, guests of this Halloween hike will come across nature-themed skits that are not too scary for kids.
The fee is $9 for residents and $11 otherwise. Children age 3 and below are admitted for free. This unique event lasts just two nights, and spots will fill up quickly. Check the link below to secure your tickets as soon as possible.
