Nothing Says Fall Is Here More Than A Visit To North Carolina's Charming Apple Orchard

You have to agree: nothing says ‘fall’ quite like a visit to an apple orchard. We would be hard pressed (no pun intended) to name anyone that doesn’t like apples. To that end, perusing through an entire orchard, picking your own, and then enjoying all the things you can do with those apples… that’s about as good as it gets.
Located out in the country in North Carolina's South Mountains, there's a family-run apple farm, and it's perfect for a day trip filled with fun, family adventures.
For those who have already discovered Apple Hill Orchard and Cidery, the annual trek to this apple haven is one that is not missed.
Each fall, a new apple picking adventure begins as the many varieties of apples in the various orchards reach peak harvest times.
The orchard dates back to 1950 for this fifth generation family of apple farmers. Likewise, generations of visitors have enjoyed the fall harvest at Apple Hill year after year and enjoy bringing new additions to the farm to share in the same experiences they enjoyed as children.
Aside from the orchard, there are many activities for families to enjoy on this fun day trip...
On Saturdays, September through November, you can hop on a wagon ride around the farm and through the orchards.
Tickets can be purchased at the Country Store, which is exactly where you'll want to head right after the wagon ride too. It's filled with rich, wholesome, apple goodness, including some already-picked apples you can sort through and then pop in a basket and purchase.
Next door is where you'll find the delicious apple donuts, apple fritters, frozen slushies, hot apple cider, and more!
Don't forget to grab an apple pie to take home (before they are all gone!) Or, you could just pick enough apples to make your own... (If there's a line, bakery items are also available in the country store.)
Apple picking is an activity that is fun for kids and adults alike. Have you been to Apple Hill lately?
