You'll Be Happy To Hear That Massachusetts’ Fall Foliage Is Expected To Be Bright And Bold This Year
With Labor Day officially behind us, many Bay Staters are counting down the days until cool fall weather returns. That brisk autumn air also brings another long-awaited treat – stunning fall foliage.
This year, the foliage forecast is looking particularly bright for Massachusetts.
According to New England Today, our recent chilly winter means that this year’s foliage is on track to be vibrant and stunning. If the next month or so features sunny weather and limited rainfall, eye-popping fall colors could even emerge early in the southern portion of the state.
Peak fall foliage in Massachusetts should emerge around the middle of October, but the leaves will begin to change in late September. By the end of October, most of the western part of the state will be experiencing past-peak foliage (browns and deep reds rather than bright oranges and yellows), while the eastern part of the state will still have some vibrant color.
