Love wine and love to camp? The two certainly seem to go hand-in-hand and there is no better place to experience them together than camping at a vineyard! This enchanting vineyard in North Carolina has an adjoining campground perfect for RVs, campers and tents; what’s more, they also make their own wine. Perfect. Let’s go!
Carrollwoods RV Campground and Grapefull Sisters Vineyard is located just outside of Tabor City, convenient to major highways (and Myrtle Beach, SC), but just far enough out of town to feel like you're way out in the country.
The vineyard and campground are located on an old family farm that, in a bygone era, was primarily used for growing cotton and tobacco. It's a lovely setting to enjoy some time away from home and sample a variety of wines from grapes grown in the same soil where cotton and tobacco were once the mainstay.
The campground adjoins the vineyard and has ample space for RVs and campers of all sizes.
Amenities include a swimming pool, hiking trails, Wi-Fi, a camp store, cable TV — and oh yeah... a vineyard and tasting room!
Grapefull Sisters Vineyard makes 8 varieties of wine from their Muscadine grapes. The tasting room is open for day visitors as well, but if you're camping and staying on the vineyard, then that means you'll be trying them all (extensively)!
If you don't camp, or simply don't have the gear to camp right now, then the campground has cabins for rent too, and the Vineyard has a small B&B in which you can stay. What a lovely way to get away for the weekend to a fun new place in the Carolinas!
Gas up the RV and let's go!
Carrollwoods RV Campground & Grapefull Sisters Vineyard is located at 95 Dot’s Drive, Tabor City, NC 28463 . Both the campground and vineyard are open year-round. Learn more on the official websites for the vineyard and campground .
