The only bad thing about pie is that there’s never enough of it. Luckily, we found a place where a lack of pie is never a problem. In fact, this place serves some of the biggest pieces of pie we’ve ever laid eyes on. Fresh, delicious, and topped with mile-high meringue, the homemade pie is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth. Take a look:
Located along Highway 61, you’ll find Mammy’s Cupboard. The restaurant is housed in a building that’s shaped like a 30’ tall woman, making it pretty hard to miss.
Reasonably so, the roadside restaurant has garnered a lot of attention since being built in the 1940s. And while the eatery’s appearance has a lot to do with its popularity, that’s not all Mammy’s Cupboard is known for.
Aside from being housed underneath a gigantic hoop skirt, the restaurant is known for its tasty home-cooked fare, which includes incredible homemade pies.
If you’re a firm believer in eating a meal before dessert, you’re in luck. Aside from larger-than-life pies, Mammy’s Cupboard serves hearty lunch specials, sandwiches, and homemade soups.
Mammy’s Cupboard is located at 555 US-61, Natchez, MS 39120. For more information, call (601) 445-8957.
