We’ve told you about the charming, historic small town of Mineral Point before. One of Wisconsin’s oldest towns, this wonderful small town outside of Madison was once the home of Cornish miners who came to the area to mine tin. Those settlers headed west looking for gold and left behind a pre-Civil War town that’s become a haven for artists and creatives. Mineral Point is a great place for a weekend away and the perfect place to stay while you’re there is the Brewery Creek Inn and Cottages.
Located in an giant limestone building that was built in 1854, the inn itself has five rooms to rent, as well as two small cottages. The Miner’s cottage is also made with local limestone and has been continually occupied since it was built in the 1840s.
Please note, Brewery Creek is no longer in business.
Brewery Creek Inn is located at 23 Commerce St., Mineral Point, WI 53565. Learn all about the inn, cottages, beer and brewpub on their website here. Find more pictures and learn more about the inn on their Facebook page here.
