When it comes to culinary festivals and events in Maine, we’re often relegated to the same old thing. Lobster, seafood and…lobster. Not that we’re complaining. When you’ve got access to as much good seafood as we do, you have to celebrate it. But, every once in a while it’s nice to give some other foods a little bit of attention. To that end, consider attending this years 3rd annual Maine Cheese Festival!
Wolfe’s Neck Farm is located at 184 Burnett Rd. in Freeport.
For more information on the event including the cheesemakers who will be in attendance click here or visit Facebook. And, be sure to check out the Maine Cheese Guild website to learn more about the organization. To purchase tickets ahead of time, click here.
While you’re at this, perhaps you can start planning for this fall’s harvest festivals. To get you ready, here are some of the best in the state.
