When another brewery opens up in Cincinnati, some may not think much of it. Of course if you’re very much into the local brewing scene, you’ll want to give it a try, but new breweries seem to be opening up faster than Billy Hamilton running to first base for the Reds. A few months ago, another brewery did open near downtown, but this one definitely should not be ignored. 3 Points Urban Brewery in the Pendleton neighborhood is one of the newest local spots in town and this incredible gathering spot is as unique as they come.
3 Points Urban Brewery is located at the corner of 13th and Broadway in the neighborhood of Pendleton. Adjacent to OTR, this area has seen several new businesses move in and it's quickly becoming a popular gathering spot in Cincinnati.
The neighborhood was once home to those who worked in the brewing facilities leading up to Prohibition. So it seems only fitting that a local brewery move in and call this place home. Since its opening a few months ago, 3 Points has quickly gained a following of a wide variety of people who love their beer, location, atmosphere, welcoming attitude, and also its unique factor.

3 Points Urban Brewery has a unique vibe that blends industrial elements, with a comfortable coffee shop-type atmosphere, in a space that's also filled with colorful, modern art. It sounds like a mismatched combination, but in this cool and unique space, it works.
On a nice day, the outside is welcomed in with the large windows that surround the building. The brewery actually opens at 8 a.m. during the week as a free workspace, when they sell coffee for a bit, rather than beer. Children are welcome any day before 9 p.m., and the friendly staff really makes everyone feel at home, whether you are an informed beer drinker, someone interested in learning, or you just want to enjoy the atmosphere with a glass of something else (they now serve some wines and spirits).
3 Points aims to honor the past, particularly Cincinnati's fascinating brewing history, while striving ahead to the future. They've created a space that's ideal for a person looking for a drink at the bar, a large group of friends celebrating, or a family spending time around downtown.
If you've never been to the Pendleton neighborhood, you'll likely first notice the narrow streets and historic buildings (and a lot of construction as the area is revitalized). But don't let this deter you, as there is now plenty of parking and many places to eat, drink, and visit while in the area.
And one of your stops while in Pendleton should definitely be 3 Points Urban Brewery. This unique local destination is now serving some of the best brews in town, and in a space that stands out amongst our growing brewery scene here in Cincinnati.
