Kentucky is home to all sorts of festive parades, from those that celebrate holidays to small-town gatherings to massive events that showcase larger-than-life balloons. Traditional parades are always a good time, but each summer Letcher County takes this event one step further by moving it to the water. The County’s 3rd annual Glow on the Pond takes places Saturday, August 11th, 2018, and this moonlit parade on the water is an event in the Bluegrass State that you’ll never forget.
Check out last year’s event in this video shared by Matthew Caudill:
Glow on the Pond beautifully showcases this area of Kentucky, and in a unique way that everyone can enjoy. Do you live in this area and will attend this year’s glowing parade? Are there any other similar events that we should check out? Let us know in the comments!
