Georgia has quite a few places throughout the state that pay homage to animals and different wildlife species. In fact, just recently an elephant sanctuary opened up in Decatur County, which provides over 800 acres of space for the magical creatures to roam. We have another park in Georgia that is worth visiting, too, especially once you see the exotic animals they have taken in.
Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary in Locust Grove, Georgia is a special place where exotic animals are taken in to enjoy life in a safe space.
Home to over 1,500 animals, including 100 different species, Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary is devoted to taking care of abused, abandoned, and neglected animals who are surrendered.
A Walk On The Wild Side tour (WOW) is also available for those who reserve in advance, which offers a professionally guided tour of the property with plenty of educational opportunities, too.
Keeper for the Day means that guests spend a normal day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. being a Noah’s Ark Keeper, feeding, caring for, and learning all about what it takes.
The address for Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary is 712 L G Griffin Rd, Locust Grove, GA. The habitat is open Tuesday through Saturday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m., and the Welcome Center is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Self-guided tours are available from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays—weather permitting. To find out more information about Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary, visit the website or Facebook Page.
