Whether you want to hike to the top of the world, swim in a natural pool, or go spelunking, New Mexico is home to endless activities for the perfect summer day. The Land of Enchantment offers incredible views wherever you go, and this lake is no exception. This Northern New Mexico lake offers the clearest blue waters around, breathtaking views, and is surrounded by beautiful cliffs to jump from. You won’t want to pass up this small town lake, it’s the perfect spot for a summer day.
This lake is technically a reservoir of the Chama River, and is kept in by a dam.
Abiquiu is a small town in Northern New Mexico beside the Rio Chama. At just over 200 people, this town is tiny and brings about the small town charm we all love.
Abiquiu Lake is located at the intersection of Hwy 84/285 and Hwy 96, Abiquiu, NM.
When’s the last time you visited Abiquiu Lake? What do you love about it?
