This amazing zoo lets you interact with an animal one-on-one if you book the right appointment, or you can just visit the zoo and explore as you see fit. Either way, you're supporting a man and his dream of helping save these majestic creatures.
2. Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead —

This quintessential Kansas farm is packed full of historical life and all sorts of activities.
3. Strataca —

This underground salt mine in Hutch is one of Kansas' coolest attractions, where you can journey more than 600 feet below the surface to see a part of Kansas's history.
4. Botanica: The Wichita Gardens — 701 N Amidon Ave., Wichita, KS
One of the most beautiful places in Wichita, this garden is amazing and full of life at every turn. You could come back again and again and still have different experiences every time.
5. Sternberg Museum of Natural History — 3000 Sternberg Dr., Hays, KS
If the prospect of fossils and learning about the distant past interests you, then this is the museum for you.
6. Fort Scott National Historic Site — 1 Old Fort Blvd., Fort Scott, KS
This historic site is full of exhibits and reenactments that anyone of any age will enjoy.
7. Coronado Heights — 12th Ave and Coronado Heights Rd., Lindsborg, KS
This attraction is on the small side, but viewing the world around you from this spot is one of the best views Kansas has to offer. Oh, and Lindsborg is a real treat, too!
8. Monument Rocks —
Oakley, KS
These giant rock formations aren't going to be here forever, as they are constantly getting smaller from the wind and rain that erodes them. With that in mind, make sure you stop by this formation at least once on your Kansas adventures!
9. Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve — 2840B KS Hwy 177, Strong City, KS
This gorgeous prairie area is the perfect place to get away from it all and just embrace nature around you. After all, towns and cities are never as beautiful as this.
10. Keeper of the Plains — 650 N Seneca St., Wichita, KS
This shining example of Wichita's native heritage stands tall over the Riverside area for all to see. Every night, the bonfires around it are also lit for a show both warm and amazing.
11. Boot Hill — Front and Fifth St., Dodge City, KS
Boot Hill is a busy place to be in the summer, but if you're lucky enough to find a good day, you'll thoroughly enjoy all the reenactments and old western buildings and the excuse to dress a little fancy.
