1. Prime 44 West
Prime 44 West, located inside the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, is named in honor of NBA star Jerry West's jersey number.
Their aged beef and seafood is served with local ingredients, such as their sea bass, pictured above. 2. The Bluegrass Kitchen
The Bluegrass Kitchen, in Charleston, serves vegetarian and omnivorous dishes from local sources. They serve some great dishes you won't find anywhere else, such as the their Black and Blue Wings, pictured below. They also have other unique dishes, such as the Bluegrass veggie burger, pickle-brined fried chicken, and the BgK Reuben. The Bluegrass Kitchen is located at 1600 Washington St E. in Charleston.
3. Bistro 112
This restaurant in Shepherstown serves French cuisine from local sources. The location was constructed in 1830, providing an "old country" aesthetic to the restaurant. While there, try the charcuterie, blackened French Moroccan duck, French-style grilled steak, and ratatouille. Bistro 112 is located at 112 W German St. in Shepherdstown.
4. The Dish Cafe
The Dish Cafe gets all their fresh ingredients from the Swift Level Farm in nearby Lewisburg. Their made-from-scratch dishes include appetizers, salads, and wings, plus special dishes like Cajun Shrimp Over Creamy Polenta, Chicken Parmesan Pasta, and Bone-In Rib Eye. 5. Panorama at the Peak
This restaurant in Berkeley Springs is known as much for its great view as its great food. The restaurant serves excellent sandwiches, such as Dad's Perfect Reuben and the Ooh La La French Dipper. 6. Stardust Cafe
This cafe, located in Lewisberg, began as a coffee shop in 2005, before branching out into serving locally sourced foods with quality ingredients, such as European butter, extra virgin olive oil, and artisan bread. While there, try their some of their amazing dishes, such as the Arugula Prosciutto Crostini, Lamb Burger, Pasta Sicily, and Grilled Cod Linguini. The Stardust Cafe is located at 102 E Washington St. in Lewisburg.
7. The Livery Tavern
The Livery Tavern, located in Lewisberg, is a mid-1800s style tavern that stands where a livery stable once stood, built in the early 19th century. The tavern serves hearty dishes such as Rainbow Trout Almondine, Smoked Duck Breast and Lobster Risotto. The restaurant does change its menu often, but everything they serve is sure to delight. The Livery Tavern is located at 217 E Washington St. in Lewisburg.
8. Fish Hawk Acres
This business offers a trifecta of services, consisting of a farm, restaurant and on-site catering service. Their food goes from their farm to their table (or yours, if they cater an event for you). It probably doesn't get any fresher than this. They offer a sandwich menu every day and have special farm dinners held each month in June, July, August and September. Fish Hawk Acres restaurant is located at 5 W Main St. in Buckhannon.
9. Hill & Hollow
Hill and Hollow, located at the historic Seneca Center in Morgantown, offers a globally-inspired selection of dishes from locally sourced ingredients. You can order such delicious items, such as charcuterie, chilled chipotle linguini, prime Brazilian-cut loin steak, and their pasture-raised steak of the day.
