1. Black Mountain, Jackson
You may know Black Mountain as a small but charming ski mountain, but in the summer and fall months it morphs into a fantastic horseback riding operation. 3. High Meadows Farm, Moultonborough
At this fantastic equestrian center, trail rides begin on the ground with a lesson in how to groom and tack up a horse, followed by some time in the ring to make sure you're comfortable on your steed before you hit the trails. 4. Franconia Notch Stables, Franconia
