Instead of knocking down buildings, it’s really cool when a business finds a new use for an old space. This re-purposed gas station restaurant no longer fills fuel tanks but instead fills hungry diners with incredible cuisine. MBAR is located in Mystic and you are going to want to check it out.
MBAR may still look like a gas station from the outside but this space has been totally renovated and now houses a one-of-a-kind wine bar and small plates restaurant.
The space is sleek with modern and edgy details. The garage bay doors are opened on nice days to let in the sunlight and fresh breezes.
You can also dine outdoors on the patio, this re-purposed gas station restaurant has made good use of all the available space.
MBAR is open daily for brunch, pasty, and coffee seven days a week from 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. The delicious breakfast taco is the perfect wake up call any day of the week.
Try a yummy egg slider with watercress and olive tapenade to take the edge off your mid-day hunger.
Spoon up some fresh fruit parfait for a taste of something light and sweet.
Evening service runs Wednesday & Thursday 4 p.m. - 8 p.m., Friday & Saturday 4 p.m. - 9 p.m., and Sunday 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.
