Lobster Landing is a tiny seaside shack in Clinton. It is full of old-fashioned New England charm and draws visitors from all over the country for its simple yet superbly delicious lobster rolls.
Enea Bacci and his wife Cathie purchased the property in 1995. Bacci learned the trade of lobstering quickly consulting with local fisherman to show him the ropes.
The seafood retailer purchased a hot dog cart in 2001. The next year the couple added lobster rolls to the menu and the restaurant soon became a coastal hotspot.
There is nothing fancy about this eatery, they don't even have plates. You'll get your lobster roll warm, buttery, and wrapped in tin foil.
Take a seat in the open picnic area or if the coastal breezes are blowing, find a spot in the enclosed tent for dining.
A full quarter-pound of fresh-picked claw, knuckle, and tail meat goes into each roll. The bun is toasted on the grill and then the succulent lobster roll is topped with melted butter and lemon. It's the perfect marriage of ingredients and so flavorful.
You'll also find hot dogs and sausage and peppers on the menu, but definitely go for the lobster roll, you won't regret it.
