If you’re like most Washingtonians, you probably head straight for Sluys Bakery when you’re visiting Poulsbo and you need a sweet treat. But if you’re planning to head to Washington’s Little Norway this summer, you may want to keep something else in mind: ice cream. For such a tiny town, they’ve got a lot of delicious options.
The company has developed almost 100 unique flavors, about 48 of which you'll find at their shop at any given time. They originated on Bainbridge Island, and we love that they have locations in Poulsbo and Kingston now. They don't take short cuts or powdered mixes when making their ice cream, which is apparent at first lick.

The irresistible ice cream at Mora has earned such a great reputation that it's become almost as popular as the bakery Poulsbo is so well known for. If you visit this summer, you'll notice locals and tourists alike walking around with cones.

Thormod and Asta had intended to settle in Port Townsend, but as soon as they visited Poulsbo, they knew it was home. Thormod’s family had a long tradition of making ice cream, and the couple decided that's how they'd make their living in the U.S. They use local berries and the best quality flavors they can find.
