Summertime is when the entire state of Iowa goes festival-crazy! From enormous music festivals to small town fairs, nearly every weekend is packed with a gathering in one of our communities. One of the longest standing festivals in the state is hosted by the tiny town of Montrose. Their August festival has always been the best watermelon festival in Iowa! The Montrose Watermelon Festival will be held August 16 – August 18, 2018. On Thursday and Friday, the festival opens at 5 p.m., and on Saturday morning, a parade kicks off the festivities! Head down to S 1st St., Montrose, IA52639 to join in on the fun.
