There’s something about hot air balloons that defies imagination – delicate structures that light up with flame and blow about on the breeze. Whether you find that enchanting or terrifying, you can’t argue that they’re pretty darn gorgeous to look at – especially against the background of stunning Granite State scenery. If you’d like to see this for yourself, there’s a festival you can’t miss coming up this summer.
The Suncook Valley Rotary Hot Air Balloon Rally is a beloved tradition in the town of Pittsfield – this year marks the 37th festival! The event supports the Rotary Club's community service efforts throughout the region, so by attending you're supporting a great cause. This year's festival runs August 3-5, 2018.
The event, which runs for three days, is based around two daily balloon liftoffs (at 5:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.). It also includes plenty of other fun events in between, including helicopter rides, crafters, dog demonstrations, and more.
37th Annual Suncook Valley Rotary Hot Air Balloon Rally will run August 3-5, 2018, at Drake Field in Pittsfield, NH. To learn more and keep an eye out for the full schedule of events, visit the rally’s website or Facebook page.
