When you think of things to do in Georgia, you go to all the usual places; out to eat at nice restaurants, the Georgia Aquarium and maybe hiking on a few trails. However, there’s so much more to experience in Georgia than just the usual suspects. Have you ever been to Fricks Cave? Or how about Ossabaw Island? Check out Fricks Cave for a caving adventure! This magnificent cave in Walker County is home to 10,000 endangered Gray Bats and is one of two Gray Bat caves in Georgia. Visiting this place will surely give you an otherworldly experience.

Bellwood Quarry is a beautiful gem located about a mile from Midtown (Atlanta). It was mined for a century, now it has been transformed into a quarry. It's not open to the public now but there are plans for this space to become the largest park in Atlanta complete with athletic fields, rec centers, and neighborhoods.

Located off the coast of Savannah is Ossabaw Island, the third largest barrier island in Georgia. It is 9,000 acres of wooded uplands with freshwater ponds and 16,000 acres of marshlands. This unspoiled island was set aside by the state of Georgia as a preserve of nature for scientific, cultural study, research, and education. This island also has 13 miles of undeveloped beaches open to the public.

Sapelo Island is one of Georgia's 15 beautiful barrier islands. It is only accessible by ferry and the island hosts a variety of activities to get into such as visiting the light house, going to Gray's reef, or just seeing the sights on the island.

Berry College is definitely an underrated university in Georgia. This small private liberal arts school is located just north of Rome, Georgia set in some of the most beautiful scenery you'll ever see! Set on 27,000 acres, Berry College claims to be the largest contiguous campus in the world. Berry College was also chosen as U.S. Best News's #1 "Up-and-Coming" liberal arts school.
