Louisiana is filled with tons of exciting places for you to get away from it all. With the upcoming extended weekend, consider heading out to one of these magical getaways so you can fall in love with Louisiana all over again.
1. Relax in a houseboat.
Often overlooked, houseboats are a fantastic option when you’re looking to get away from it all. You’ll be surrounded by some of Louisiana’s most beautiful landscapes, and you can sit back and listen to the symphony of sounds the swamps create as they come alive in the evenings. 2. Take a beachside vacation.
Head over to Holly Beach where you can sink your toes in the sand without a care in the world. You’ll stay in a beautiful beach house overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, and you can spend your days searching for seashells and your evenings listening to the waves crashing on the shore.
