Many people stop in Denton while on their way to or from Ocean City for the following restaurant. Market Street Public House is an Irish pub that serves up some of the best food in the area -- especially when it comes to seafood. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

This area of Baltimore county is rural, but has a few hidden gems if you know where to look. Check out the historic eatery known as The Milton Inn Restaurant for a classic meal. Or for a more laid back experience, seek out The Filling Station. Visit during a live music night for a fun and delicious time.

Ask a Maryander where to find the best burgers in the state and many will say Sunshine General Store in Brookeville. This hole-in-the-wall may not look like much, but folks travel from all over for these juicy burgers.

Bishopville is home to the famous Grove Market, which provides a gourmet dinner experience like no other. This mom and pop spot is laid-back with picnic decor and plastic chairs but the food is always top-notch and always changing. Also in the area is Emings BBQ for those who crave a whole lotta meat with a whole lotta mess.

For such a small town, Emmitsburg has a ton of restaurants that are unique and mouthwatering. A local favorite for seafood and crabs is Rube's Crab Shack, which will please any Maryalnder's palate. Or if you prefer something more classic, try a place like The Carriage House Inn.

This old town is full of charm and full of good food, too. Try Leonardtown Grille for some American classics or if you prefer a bit of southern cuisine, head to The Front Porch. Be sure to bring a hearty appetite to either location.

Last but certainly not least is the rural town of Church Hill. Nonna Maria's Italian Restaurant seems to pop up out of nowhere and it's worth stopping in for the pizza and incredibly delicious cream of crab soup.
