So, you aren’t a fan of bracing the hoards of people, and maybe getting into a fist fight or two, on Black Friday to score discounted merchandise? Yeah, I’m not sure that is anyone’s idea of fun. Why not participate in one of these ten other activities instead?
Instead of checking out the crowded big box stores, why don’t you do a little local shopping? The 29th annual Islandwide Christmas Crafts & Food Expo will be at the Neal S. Blaisdell Exhibition Hall. You’ll boost the local economy, and get great, one-of-a-kind gifts for all your family and friends. You could also check out the Honolulu Museum of Art School Annual Holiday Art Sale.
If you’re like me, your tree is probably already proudly displayed, but if you aren’t as Christmas obsessed as I am, Black Friday is the perfect day to pull out those decorations and get to work.

Join "The Voice" contestants Biff Gore, Noah Lis, and Emily B for a free Christmas concert at Hope Chapel Kihei. Dinner will be available in the courtyard at 5:30 p.m., and the concert will begin at 7 p.m.

The Honolulu Theatre for Youth presents "Rudolf’s Reindeer Games," an original show opening on Black Friday at 7 p.m. Ring in the holidays with your family with an interactive comedy show with sing-a-longs, games – and quite a few surprises.
What better way to burn off all those Thanksgiving calories than to head out bright and early for a good old-fashioned hike? You can breathe in the fresh air, get your heart pumping, and remember why you are thankful to live in Hawaii.
