This Vacation Cabin In Nebraska Has Its Own Private Beach and Private Island

This gorgeous cabin in southeastern Nebraska is a chic way to enjoy some time by the water in a unique, secluded setting.

This private cabin oasis sits right on a lake in Crete, which is not too far from Lincoln.

The cabin is actually a boathouse, but it's so lovely and comfortable that it could be the main house.

The interior is exactly what other accommodations aspire to be.

With modern appliances, sleek surfaces, comfy furniture, and subdued decor, this cabin is the kind of place you could hole up in for a weekend.

The open floor plan is a studio-type arrangement, so there are no bedrooms. However, the property owner provides three air mattresses. The cabin can sleep up to six people.

There's a TV for keeping up with the news or snuggling up in front of a good movie, and a two-sided fireplace is shared between the two living rooms.

No matter where you are in the cabin, there's a spectacular view of the water through the huge windows.

Hang out on the upper deck for a great view of the serene surroundings and enjoy the cool lake air.

Remember that private beach we promised? It's right here - it's not huge, but it is totally private and it comes with plenty of seating for you and your guests. Canoes and kayaks are provided so you can venture out and explore the lake.

The outside living areas are almost as inviting as those indoors. The lower deck seats up to 16 people...

...and the two fire pit areas are perfect for enjoying an evening of intimate conversation.

One of the standout features of this rental property is the private island. Walk across a bridge to get to this totally private little area and enjoy the fountains shooting water up from the lake.

Can you imagine standing on the upper deck and watching a sunset like this? This is so much better than a hotel could ever be.
