As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
After a long Iowa winter, many of us are starting to plan our spring and summer getaways. While most Iowans have their go-to spots, it can’t hurt to try someplace new! You may end up finding your paradise. There’s one charming vineyard B&B located way out in Greene County that you’ve got to put on your bucket list.
John 15 Vineyard in Scranton, Iowa is one of the most charming and unique getaway spots in the whole state!
For those who love to fish, it's stocked with bluegill, crappie, bass and channel catfish. It's open to the public for $3 per day, or guests can enjoy the pond free of charge.
For years, John 15 Vineyard has been a well-known Bed and Breakfast in this section of the Hawkeye State, offering indoor lodging and tent camping.
For B&B lodging, the daily rate is $75 per bedroom, or $190 for the entire 2nd floor. There are also primitive tent sites on the property. To pitch your tent, the daily rate is $20, and the weekly rate is $100.
What truly makes John 15 Vineyard special, though, is their one-of-a-kind Treehouse Camping site!
The Treehouse has room for 4 guests, and the daily rate is just $30! For a week's stay, you'll pay $150. To learn just how this incredible camping site came to be, watch the video below:
